Anzac Day With His Royal Highness
Anzac Day (April 25) is a national day of remembrance for military veterans in Australia and New Zealand. As Her Majesty is also Queen of those two countries, April 25 is always a big date for the British Royal Family. Meghan Markle began the first of a lifetime of Anzac Day duties today.
First, Meghan and Prince Harry attended a sunrise memorial service at London's Hyde Park Corner. Meghan gave us an elegant, Downton Abbey-ish look with that beautiful enormous hat. Her military-inspired coat is from Smythe's 2018 Fall Collection. She carried her Gucci Dionysus Mini Bag and wore rather sensible Sarah Flint pumps.
Later (after Prince Harry laid a wreath at The Cenotaph War Memorial), the couple joined The Duke of Cambridge at Westminster Abbey for a Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving. Here Meghan gave us her second stunning ensemble of the day - made even more extra by the fact that she wore bespoke Emilia Wickstead! While you obviously cannot buy this custom made jacket and dress for yourself, you can aspire to a version of Meghan's Philip Treacy Dragonfly Beret - and certainly her Manolo Blahnik pumps and Jimmy Choo 'J Box' clutch.
If the last several events are any indication, Meghan Markle has pretty much mastered Royal style. Just as importantly, she is accessorizing in a manner that assures us her own tastes won't get lost along the way.
