The Commonwealth Youth Forum With His Royal Highness
Meghan Markle delighted us today with a fresh and nautical look to accompany Prince Harry to The Commmonwealth Youth Forum in London. Although this marks her 11th appearance since the couple announced their engagement last November, this is technically the first time Chocolate Duchess has attended a major event on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
Now, let’s get to the clothes! Ms. Markle wore a structured black blazer from Camilla and Marc over Altuzarra’s striped 'Audrey' midi dress, which "is inspired by the rural styles of women in Bretagne, France". The look was accessorized with Tamara Mellon’s 'Paramour' pumps and a crossbody bag from Australian luxury handbag maker Oroton. The jewelry was understated and the hair was fabulous.
What I really like about these choices is that as she’s easing into her new Royal life, Meghan continues to show us her own sense of style. Her look is appropriate for the event, but it’s not cookie-cutter Princess by any means. We adore The Duchess of Cambridge’s classic, almost iconic fashion, but are really looking forward to seeing more of this, too!
