The Sussex Royal Tour Of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, & New Zealand: Day Eleven
Another day on the Sussex Royal Tour brought another trio of dresses - and this time there wasn't a single fashion faux pas in sight! Chocolate Duchess gave us a true triple dose of glamour in looks from Martin Grant, Veronica Beard, and Oscar de la Renta.
First off, how great of a month is Australian designer Martin Grant having? What ever success he was experiencing before October 2018, he must be over the moon with what this new Sussex exposure has done for his brand. Her Royal Highness started this tour in one of his trench coats, and today was just one time of many that she's worn him since then. The striped and belted A-line dress she started the day in is a classic and feminine look that plenty of women can aspire to. She paired it with olive Manolo Blahnik pumps and a neutral Prada clutch.
Her Royal Highness' second outfit of the day was an exquisitely-hued shirtdress from the American label Veronica Beard (https://www.veronicabeard.com/about). Everything about this ensemble was stunningly simple, down to the "you bet your ass they are restocking these now" Banana Republic "Madison" pumps in baby blue. She gave me all kinds of Grace Kelly Old Hollywood-vibes in this!
Finally, the Duke and Duchess departed from Tonga and returned to Sydney, where they attended an awards ceremony this evening. The Duchess of Sussex had one more opportunity to make a fashion statement in a day that already had two flawless ones - and she did not disappoint! The only thing I regret is that Oscar de la Renta isn't still here to tell us what he thinks himself.
Look - someone decided to go "Full Princess" today! Thank you Chocolate Duchess!
